Wang Shan & 100-day Mourning 旺山及百日拜祭

Wang Shan
In Chinese society burying the dead in the appropriate manner is regarded as of utmost importance and therefore their funeral rites and customs are taken seriously.

There is a traditional ceremony called "Prospering the Tomb"(旺山),which is akin to a house warming party."Wang Shan" is a ceremony after the beautification of the ancestral main tomb was completed and was held to bless the place and the dead.

100-day Mourning
After 100 days a final prayer ceremony is conducted at the grave that shows respects and remembrance towards the daparted.

旺山仪式
旺山是最隆重的奠礼仪式,在土葬先人的墓碑建成后,主家和亲人要到该处做一个【旺山】仪式。

百日拜祭
逝世当天算起一百天所做的祭祀活动,称【作百日】,让后人表达对先人的哀思。
